What is the difference between cold rolled and hot rolled coil?
The biggest difference between cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel coils is the processing temperature. Hot-rolled steel coils are processed at high temperatures, while cold-rolled steel coils are processed at room temperature. Therefore, cold-rolled steel coils have higher strength and surface quality, but the price may be slightly higher in relative terms.
How long is your delivery time?
Generally it is 3-7 days if the goods are in stock. Or if the goods are not in stock, 7-14 days, depending on the quantity.
Can you arrange delivery?
Of course, we have a permanent freight forwarder who can get the best prices from most shipping companies and provide professional services.
Do you have quality control?
Yes, we have obtained BV and SGS certification.
Can we visit your factory?
Warmly welcome, we will pick you up once we have your schedule.
What are the disadvantages of cold rolling?
1. Although there is no hot plastic compression during the forming process, there are still residual stresses in the section, which will inevitably affect the overall and local buckling characteristics of the steel.
2. The cold-rolled steel section is generally an open section, which makes the free torsional stiffness of the section low. It is prone to torsion when subjected to bending and torsional buckling when subjected to pressure, and its torsional resistance is poor.
3. The wall thickness of cold-rolled formed steel is small, and there is no thickening at the corners where the plates are connected, so the ability to withstand localized concentrated loads is weak.
