SA662 GR.B Moderate and lower temperature Pressure Vessel Steel plate

ASME SA662 standard specification for pressure vessel plates, carbon-manganese-silicon steel, for moderate and lower temperature service.
ASTM A662 grade A plates in thickness shall be normalized.
 
Thickness: 6MM to 300MM,
Width: 1500mm to 4050mm,
Length: 3000mm to 15000mm

SA662 Grade B steel mechanical property:

Tensile strength: 70-90 ksi (485-620 MPa)
Yield strength: 40 ksi (275 MPa)
Elongation in 2 inch (50 mm): 18%
Reduction of area: 40%

These mechanical properties are achieved through appropriate heat treatment during manufacturing, including quenching and tempering. SA662 Grade B steel is primarily used in pressure vessel applications where high strength and low weight are required.
