ERW Steel Pipe

ERW steel pipe is a straight seam electric resistance welded pipe, abbreviated as ERW pipe, which is a round pipe welded by steel plates. It is used to transport vapor and liquid objects such as oil and n atural gas, and can meet various requirements of high and low pressure.
Product introduction

ERW stands for resistance welding, and ERW pipe is a type of steel pipe manufactured using this welding method. In the ERW process, flat steel strips are unwound from a reel and passed through a series of rolls. A high-frequency induction coil is used to heat the edges of the strip, causing it to melt and fuse together to form a weld.

ERW tubes are classified according to their diameter, wall thickness and application. They can be coated with various materials, such as zinc, epoxy or polyethylene, to prevent corrosion and extend their life. The quality of the weld seam is also an important factor in determining the strength and durability of the pipe. Therefore, various non-destructive testing methods, such as ultrasonic testing, are used to ensure the quality of the weld seam.
