What is aluminized silicon plate
Aluminized plate, also known as aluminized steel plate. It is also called aluminized plate or hot-dip aluminized plate. Aluminized steel plate is a steel plate coated with aluminum-silicon alloy, in which the aluminum content is 90% and silicon 10%. Dalian aluminized silicon steel plate has good heat resistance, heat reflection, corrosion resistance, and its mechanical and physical properties are better than cold rolled steel plate.
There are two types of aluminized steel plates: one is called Category 1, which is heat resistant and can withstand high temperatures of about 640°C. The other is called Category 2, which is heat resistant. This type of aluminized steel plate is coated with a 20~25 micron thick Al-Si alloy (containing 6~8.5% Si) coating on a mild steel plate. The other type, called Category 2, is corrosion-resistant and has a plating thickness of 2 to 3 times that of Category 1.
In either category, the plating is formed by hot-dip plating. As a result, a thin alloy layer is formed between the mild steel plate base material and the plating. Category 1 forms an Al-Fe-Si alloy layer and Category 2 forms an Al-Fe alloy layer. Category 2 has poor weldability compared to Category 1 because of the low melting point of the plating layer and the thickness of the layer.
Aluminized steel sheets are made by combining two of the most widely used metals in our daily lives, iron and aluminum. This steel plate allows the properties of the two metals to be fully utilized and constitutes a steel plate with special properties. Due to its unique properties such as good corrosion resistance, heat resistance and heat radiation, this steel plate has been increasingly appreciated.
Aluminized steel plate used in heat radiation, acid, condensate and atmospheric corrosion of the environment, has a very good resistance to corrosion, in the rural, industrial cities and marine areas outdoor use of aluminum-plated steel plate made of components, its life expectancy than the use of zinc-coated steel made of components as large as 2 to 5 times, and is particularly suited to resistance to the corrosion of SO2 and H2S.
