Features of SECC
SECC is electro-galvanized steel sheet. Written in English as Steel Electrolytic Cold Commercial.
The CC at the end of SECC is the same as the base material of SECC before electroplating, which is SPCC (cold-rolled steel plate), and both indicate that it is a cold-rolled general-purpose material.
The base material is SECC, so it has the same characteristics as SECC and excellent processability. And because it is electroplated, it has a beautiful and shiny appearance, but it has good paintability and can be painted in various colors.

The purpose of SECC
Since it is made of general steel, high strength cannot be expected. Moreover, the galvanized layer is thinner than hot-dip galvanizing, so it is not suitable for use in harsh environments. SECC implements electro-galvanizing, so chromate treatment is required. Moreover, the coating is thinner than hot-dip galvanizing, so it has poor corrosion resistance. Therefore, it is not suitable for use outdoors or in places easily exposed to water.
